About me
Hello, I'm Alice, a psychotherapeutic counsellor working with adults across the North East.
After training at the Northern Guild in Jesmond and qualifying in 2023, I have worked within both the NHS and private practice. My path into counselling was not a direct one. Initially studying a degree in Fine Art and working for 10 years in hospitality, my experience has shaped the way I connect with people from all walks of life and has led me into the career I have today.
Through extensive training, personal reflection and my own experience of therapy, I understand how significant it can be to seek support. I feel privileged to walk alongside people as they navigate life's challenges, deepen their self-understanding and move towards lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
At the heart of my work is a genuine curiosity about each person's unique story. I don't make assumptions or believe there is a "right" way to be. Instead, I aim to create a space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace. My background in creative practice also means I'm comfortable thinking beyond words when it feels helpful, bringing imagination, openness and flexibility into the therapeutic process.
